The 7th Rally of the Tests
1st - 4th November 2007

"The Goodwood of Historic Rallying"
Classic and Sportscar.

The 7th Rally of the Tests is now over and once again acclaimed as a great success. The route ran coast to coast from Scarborough to Blackpool remaining true to the RAC fifties heritage with three concentrated days packed with over thirty tests, ten regularities and a couple of evening sections.

After starting from Scarborough the north country route had two overnights at the North Lakes Penrith hotel providing maximum advantage from the excellent rallying area around Penrith. On day two we breached Hadrianís Wall to enjoy the delights of Scotlandís roads.

Fred Bent and his route planning team lived up to their reputation by packing in a huge number of test venues and plenty of challenging regularities to produce three days of fierce competition appealing to both driver and the navigator, with overall win going to Paul Wignall and Mark Appleton in Paul's Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint.

New support for the 7th Rally of the Tests came from CES UK Ltd. who injected some generous CES hospitality to the event. At the Gala prize-giving dinner in Blackpool there was loud applause when CES boss Howard Warren announced continued CES support for CRA events in 2008.
