The Poppy Rally is Completed
The Poppy Rally ran over a gloriously sunny weekend on the exceptional rally roads around Ypres. The compact format with regular returns to the friendly villages of Boezinge, Watou, Westrozebeke and of course the rally centre town of Ypres provided two days of almost continuous action.

A Cracking Route
Route Designer George Mullins who many of you will know from other CRA events and the man behind much of the West Country route on the Rally of the Tests has worked with the local club members from Ieper to plan a route and test venues that match the high standards set on previous Classic Rally Association events.
The tight intricate nature of the roads will create a challenge for both driver and navigator, and a good selection of non damaging sealed surface no reversing tests will ensure maximum enjoyment for all competitors.
Route information will be predominantly in the format of no nonsense marked maps supplied by the organisers and issued one hour before the start of each leg meaning that non rally time can be spent socialising not pouring over the maps.
Regularities will be designed to be easy to follow with few speed changes, the emphasis of the event is for a short fun packed weekend event where just a few seconds will separate the leading crews. Keeping on the right road will be important but even more important will be participation in this, our first of many weekend events.
