Welcome to the 3rd Emerald Isle Classic
After exploring the centre and west of Ireland with the first Emerald Isle Classic in 2003, and then the North and North-west in 2004, it's time to venture deeper south for 2005, where those in the know say the rallying is best...
Keith Baud has masterminded our route and as in the previous two events we have received tremendous support from our local contacts who are all very active competitors. Mickey Gabbett has been through his address book and found several new test venues to back up some of the old favourites. Michael Jackson will be the Competitor Liaison Officer - making sure that regardless of whether you are a complete novice or expert help is available to you whether, it can be a query on the route or a timing penalty that perhaps you don't understand.
Performing their usual miracles to ensure that everyone gets to the finish we have two sweep crews - Peter and Betty-Ann Banham and Tony Fowkes / Andy Inskip. They can fix almost any car problems and on many events we have a near 100% finishing record. Jeremy Dickson has a very much hands on role as Rally Director and will ensure you have a speedy check in when arriving at the overnight hotels and that the class leading standards of Classic Rally Association events are maintained.
